if you have trouble focusing on meditating, try it this way!

hello there, if you have been reading about self-improvement for a while, you probably know, that meditation has many positive effects on the body, and that most successful people do it, so why not you? maybe you tried but can't concentrate. I have a meditation I've been doing lately, that actually might help beginners to meditate.

It's similar to a guided meditation, but you'll guide it yourself. there are basically 3 main parts.
so before as you may have heard everywhere, sit in a comfortable position. BUT for the first part you can do a walking meditation, especially in nature, then sit down for the second part.

the first part

Well, this one starts with a breathing exercise. take 3 deep breaths, concentrating on what you're doing. then start breathing really deeply, exhaling in a way that makes a sound. when you inhale, don't imagine anything specific but exhaling you imagine all negativity (or everything) leaving your body usually I visualize it as a black smoke. I imagine my body as a vessel, so first I try to empty it out with my exhales. try choosing one or two things, like anger and focus on getting that out. 
now I fill the vessel back up. again focusing on one or two things, like calmness and positivity. now with every inhale you feel the vessel up again with a fog in the color that matches what you're feeling yourself up with it. I like to use light blue for calmness for example. then when you've completely filled up again, every inch of your body, fingers, head, etc.
(if you want to stop here, bring your awareness to your physical body again and try to ground yourself)

the second Part

now, while you're filled with the energy from the first part, ask the universe to send energy, in form from a light spiral from the center of the source directly to your crown chakra. now open the chakra up and let the light activate it, going down each of your chakras, activating them as you go and fill your being with positive vibrations, also increasing the energy you created in the first part. really take your time with this part.
when it reaches your root chakra you will ask for all the negativity that might have been left in you to get out, as the beam of light goes through your body to the center of the universe. Don't forget to ask for all excess energy you don't need to be taken out too.

the third Part

The last step I do is visualize, now that your vibrations are high, try to imagine a perfect scenario of something. It can be whatever you desire, like having fun with friends or buying something you really like. but try to feel that emotion. As you may know, what you think affects how you feel and how you feel attracts situations that will make you feel that way. in other words, you might manifest what you want from that. (I manifested many things already I don't know if I should talk about them though haha.)

wrapping it up

so after visualizing and feeling, you can now just try to sit there trying to concentrate on your breath to give your mind a break, after visualizations I usually feel like I can concentrate better in the more traditional meditation technique, like just focussing on the breath for example or feeling my body.
if you're done just stretch and try to center yourself before going on with your day.
You should feel lighter and happier, also more calm and confident :)
